The Ask:
Promote and raise awareness about the National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC) among high school students to encourage their active engagement and appreciation of African American history and culture.
Problem:
Many high school students face a disconnect between themselves and history, where they struggle to see their identities and experiences as an integral part of historical narratives. This lack of connection can lead to disinterest, disengagement, and limited appreciation for the relevance of history in their lives.
Solution:
Design a program that places students at the center of historical narratives and emphasizes the value of their art and talents as significant contributions to history.
